Wayne LeRoy Burris Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne LeRoy Burris (Truro, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 24, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frederick Burris and Evelyn Burris (Henderson); his wife Cynthia Burris; his children, Janice Guinan (Dave), James Burris (Karen) and Krista Lehtinen (Barry); his grandchildren, Tomas Guinan (Shannon), Alan Guinan (Janine), Kaitlyn Hardy (John), Hannah Guinan, Cassie MacLeod (Lachlan), Cynthia Buchanan (Jim), Christine Best (Ben), James Burris (Laura), Sasha Howell (Dane), Caleb Wayne Lehtinen (Melani Guzman) and Kidron Lehtinen; his great grandchildren, Elijah, Eden Guinan, Lydia, Evelyn Guinan, Emmett, Soren, Renia Hardy, Ivy, Nev, Rian MacLeod, Alexis, Logan Buchanan, Isaac, Zoe, Eli, Oliver Best, Tobias, Phoenix Burris and Wesson Wayne Howell; his brother Brian Burris; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Boyd (Mary) and Philip Boyd (Judy Church). He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many long-time friends.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Wayne's honour may be made directly to Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Canada, a charity dear to Wayne's heart.
