Shirley Mae Forbes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2025, Shirley Mae Forbes (Truro, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cameron and Stella Cameron (McGee); her husband Ian Grant Forbes, Sr.; her son Ian Grant Forbes, Jr.; and her siblings, Erving and Lourene Cameron.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Tooker (Aaron), David Rice (Tammie), Hilden, John Brimicombe, Craig Boyd (Melanie), New Glasgow, Donald Richards and Peter Forbes; her daughter-in-law Sandra Rushton (Masstown); her grandchildren, Ashley Brimicombe, Madison Faber (Mitchell), Branden Rice, Lucas Brimicombe, Rachel Tooker, Alyssa Rice, Bridgit Tooker and Shelby Tooker; her great grandchildren, Malachi Faber and Maeve Faber; her siblings, Hugh, Louis (Anne), Francis, Arlene Lambert, Janice Fraser (Kendrick), Louanne Roddick (Robert), Gaye Smith (Robert) and Sharon Benoit (Charles); and her pets, Oscar and Bella.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Varner Funeral Home (55 Young St, Truro, NS B2N3W6). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
If so desired, donations in Shirley's memory to, Colchester SPCA or Canadian Cancer Society are, welcomed.
