He is survived by: his children, Steven Mitchell (Lynn), Vernon Mitchell (Michele), Vincent Mitchell (Andrea) and Pamela Sullivan (Shane); his grandchildren, Andrew Sutherland (Courtney), Gregory Sullivan, Jessica McLeod (Matthew), Christopher Mitchell (Emily), Stephen MacDonald, Brennan Sullivan (Tenysha), Garrett Mitchell (Sherry), Matthew Mitchell, Devin Mitchell (Victoria), Dakota Mitchell and Jessica Bedford; his great grandchildren, Makalya Sullivan, Dominic MacDonald, Madison Sullivan, Jade MacDonald, Jaxon Mitchell, Morgan Mitchell, Elanore and McLeod; his sister Dorothy Dean; and his sisters-in-law, Doris Leblanc and Louise MacKenzie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bible Hill Cemetery (41 Warren Dr, Bible Hill, NS B6L4G7).
