He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Bakker and Christine Bakker (Vanrooyen); his siblings, Trudy and Richard; and his grandson Trent.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Bakker (Spencer); his children, Kolee Bakker and Darren Bakker (Mary); his grandsons, Jake, Ryan and Kaelan Bakker; his great grandchild Reese; and his brother Jack Bakker (Ruth).
