He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Brown and Myrtle Brown (Perrin). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Carol" (Oickle); his children, Wanda Woodland (Dan), Debbie Weatherby (Kemptown), Ches Brown (Kemptown) and Lola Taylor (Alberta); his grandchildren, Amy Woodland, Kimberly McDonald, Amanda Brown, Bobby Weatherby, Justin Brown, Danielle Brown, Brandon Taylor, Candace Weatherby and Amy Weatherby; his great grandchildren, Lennon, Logan, Miya, Delilah, Wyatt, Jackson, Robert, Tessa Lee, Dylan, Dustin and Isaiah; and his sisters, Ruth Nordquist (Ron), Dot McNutt (Paul) and Elda Hilder.
