He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Sampson and Rita Sampson (Cahill); and his wife Debra Lynn "Debbie" Holmes. He is survived by: his children, Michael Sampson (Rebecca), Reverend Sarah Thompson (Andrew), David Sampson (Julia), Reverend Matthew Sampson (Alyssa), Jonathan Sampson (Robin) and Valley; his grandchildren, Elijah Sampson, Nathanial Thompson, Rose Sampson, Tyler Thompson, Toree Sampson, Alanna Thompson, Jessica Sampson, Zachary Thompson, Josie Sampson and Charlotte Sampson; and his siblings, Allan Sampson (Judy), Sydney, Blaine Sampson (Janice), Raylene Baker and Robert Sampson (Jodie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Varner Funeral Home (55 Young St, Truro, NS B2N3W6). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. James Presbyterian Church (725 Prince St, Truro, NS B2N1G7).
