He was predeceased by: his brother Emmett; and his parents, Robert Johnstone and Agnes Johnstone (Barron). He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his brothers, Harvey (Anne) and Lowell (Raylene); and his brother-in-law Paul (Jean). He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews as well as many cousins.
Barry was certain that his biggest contribution to the world was his daughter.
