She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold and Christina (MacKinnon); her husband Ivan Avery Shortliffe; her daughter Ruth Brewer (Gordon); her sons-in-law, Gary Cooper and Timothy Cole; her granddaughters, Tanya Shortliffe and Christina "Chrissy" Brewer; and her brother Sandy Connell (Theresa).
She is survived by: her children, Harold Shortliffe, Margie Cole, David Shortliffe (Wendy Ellis) and Nancy Garven (Thomas); her brother Edwin Connell; and her sister-in-law Lala Connell. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
