With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laurie Henry Canning (Truro, Nova Scotia), born in Diligent River, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 16, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chapman Canning and Florence Canning (Read); his siblings, Doris and Read; and his parents-in-law, Mildred (Fulton) and Wallace MacKay.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie (MacKay); his son Jamie (Tami); his grandchildren, Matthew, Janelle and Joanna; his sisters, Janet Varner, Marjorie Gallant and Helen Dodsworth (John); his siblings-in-law, Kenneth MacKay (Evelyn), Mary Kincaid (Rodney), Janet Kent, Shirley Graham, Leta Ells (Glen), Gary MacKay (Eleanor), Gordon MacKay (Cheryl) and Ethel Ervin; and his sons, Terry and David. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
