We are sad to announce that on August 13, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Joyce Matheson of Truro, Nova Scotia, born in Brookfield, Nova Scotia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Reg Dickie and Clara Dickie (Geddes); her uncle Ben; her aunt Josie Nichols (Geddes); her husband J. Donald Matheson; and her sister Merle.

She is survived by: her daughters, Isla Lee Matheson and Lianne Dimock (Reuben); her grandchildren, Matthew MacMinn, Jamie MacMinn and Gillian MacMinn; and her half-brother Ted Dickie (Randi). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations to Forest Hill Cemetery would be appreciated.

“My late husband and I met Joyce one Sunday afternoon while driving around looking for a place to stay. We were welcomed but little did she know we wanted to stay for three weeks and not just one night. I asked the next morning and she didn't think it would be a problem. We spent twenty five summers with Joyce and Don until they sold their home. We played cards every night, I never won a game!! You were a wonderful friend, Joyce. I will cherish the memories always.
