John William MacKay Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, William MacKay and Elizabeth MacKay (Chisholm); his siblings, Verna Purcell, Jimmy and Louie; and his in-laws, Ray Fraser, Fred Wood and Ruth MacKay.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, John MacKay (Cindy) and Marina Wilcox (Stephen); his grandchildren, Corey MacKay (Samantha), Alberta, Ryan MacKay, Jason Wilcox (Ashley), Ashley Gray (Sam) and Valley; his great grandchildren, Harlow MacKay, Kara Wilcox and Ezra Wilcox; his sisters, Helen Fraser and Peggy Woods; and his sister-in-law Beth MacKay.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Varner Funeral Home (55 Young St, Truro, NS B2N3W6). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at the Bible Hill Cemetery (41 Warren Dr, Bible Hill, NS B6L4G7).

Flowers accepted or donations in Jack's memory to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
