He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Retson and Irene Retson (Kenney); his sisters, Vera Henderson and Edith Retson; his son-in-law Michael Anthony; his siblings-in-law, Bryan Watson, Harold Brogan, Turk Henderson and Delma Fisher; and his nephew John Fisher.
He is survived by: his wife Kaye Retson (Fisher); his children, Tanya Retson, Shawn, Sudbury, Darren (Jenny) and James; his granddaughters, Tessa Pearson (Ciaran Carter), Hamilton and Addison Retson (Grampie); his siblings, Gene Retson (Marion), Beth Brogan and Helen Retson; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Fisher (Marlene), Max Fisher (Laura) and Brenda Visser (John). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
