Jean Durling Hartlen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 8, 2022, Jean Durling Hartlen of Truro, Nova Scotia, born in Kingston, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rosie Durling (Bruce) and Victor Durling; her adoptive mother Myrtle Richardson (Bruce); her husband Alfred; her daughters, Wanda Scott (Brian) and Cathy Coates (Glenn); her granddaughter Chelsey Coates; her stepsons, Arthur (Betty) and Dwayne (Debbie); her former husband Roderick Doyle; and her sisters, June O'Donnell and Joan Baron. She was also cherished by many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Jean's family will receive friends from 2-4 p. m., Friday, February 11, 2022. (Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 50 people will be permitted to attend visitation; proof of double vaccination and face masks are required.).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
