He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rutherford and Dorothy Rutherford (Light); his sisters, Queenie Stonehouse and Marjorie Skinner; and his grandson Alexander Bischof.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (McKay); his sister Dorothy Steeves; his children, Leslie (Annette Keuning), MacKay Siding, Linda Bischof (Gary) and Marilyn (Chris Marshall); and his grandchildren, Cait, Jeff, Matthew, Lindsay, Jared and Nicholas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Anglican Church, Truro, or the CNIB.
