He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hirtle and Freda Hirtle (MacNutt); his wife Dorothy (Murdock); and his siblings, Elva Shearer, Phyllis Stevenson, Freda MacBurnie, Caroline McGill, Elroy Langille, Ivan Langille and Sterling Langille.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Lynds (Wayne), Lana Hirtle (Doug Churchill), Kenda McCallum (Greg), Valley and Peter Hirtle (Tanya); his grandchildren, Andrew Lynds, Benjamin Lynds, Emma Churchill, Matthew MacCallum (Dayna), Connor MacCallum, Rachel Hirtle and Cameron Hirtle; his stepgrandson Matthew Churchill; his great grandchild Belle MacCallum; and his sister Marlene Langille.
