He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Chipman and Evelyn Chipman (Backman); his wife Catherine Alice (Faulkner); his grandson Kristopher Jason Hawkins; and his siblings, Barbara, Linda, Sally, Grace, Shirley, Sylvia, Carl and Tony.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Pike (Dean), Carolyn McPherson (Joseph), Jim Chipman (Monica), Susan Silliker (John) and Sandra Chipman; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Kevin R., Amanda, Timothy, Kevin G., Matthew, Robbie, Melissa, Brandon, William, Meaghan, Jakob and James; his sister Joan Chipman; his sister-in-law Elaine Chipman; and his close friend Shannon MacAloney (Catherine). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
