He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cameron MacNaughton and Evelyn Hazel MacNaughton; his wife Karen MacNaughton (Elliott); and his siblings, Baden MacNaughton, Vaughan MacNaughton, Guy MacNaughton, Joan Genore (MacNaughton) and Rae Robertson (MacNaughton).

He is survived by: his daughters, Heather MacNaughton and Kathy MacNaughton; his grandsons, James Vandergroef, Scott Vandergroef and Jason Vandergroef; and his brothers, Charles MacNaughton and Robert MacNaughton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
