He was predeceased by: his parents, S. Diwan Singh Tiwana and Gurdial Kaur Tiwana; his siblings, Manjeet Kaur Knigger (Sardar Singh), Rajinder Kaur Sidhu (Hardayal Singh) and Dharampal Tiwana (Surjit Kaur); and his daughter Tamindra Tiwana.

He is survived by: his spouse Balraj; and his daughter Kimindra Tiwana.
