He was predeceased by: his daughter Amanda; his parents-in-law, Harvey and Alice McNutt; his brothers, Eric, Keith, Paul and Earl (Carol); his siblings-in-law, Allan Durnin, Mike Rudnisky, Billy Cavanaugh and Patsy; and his niece Lesa McNutt.

He is survived by: his wife Hazel (McNutt); his daughter Audrey Bell (Kevin); his grandsons, Patrick (Dominique) and Cameron (Holly); his siblings, Laura Richardson, Frances Waller, Lloyd Cavanaugh, Ronald Cavanaugh (Linda), Robert Cavanaugh, Maxine Durnin, Patricia Larochelle (John), Ralph Cavanaugh (Janice), Wade Cavanaugh and Roger Cavanaugh; and his in-laws, Grace Cavanaugh (Harry), Charles McNutt (Wendy), Hugh McNutt, Jim McNutt (Joanne), Danny McNutt and Cathy Lynds (David). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
