He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Robert MacKay and Helen Kathleen MacKay (Cooper); his wife Ruby Maud (McCabe); his stepson Christopher Stephen McCabe; and his brother Leslie MacKay.
He is survived by: his stepson Kelly Blaine McCabe of Chilliwack, BC; his siblings, Hugh MacKay (Cheryl) and Lorna Johnson (Newton Mills); and his sister-in-law Lorraine MacKay. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
