It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Truman Norrie (Truro, Nova Scotia), born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on April 17, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mining Hall (James Paul Norrie) of Famer and Senator Margaret Rosamund Norrie (Fawcett); his sister Judith; his half-siblings, Harry, James, Pauline and Virginia; his brother-in-law Wallace McCain; and his grandson Brandon Norrie.
He is survived by: his former wife Ann MacKinnon; his friends, Tommy Stanfield, Dale Sproule, Dave Gilroy, Hearts, Hanes, Hawk, Buddy Audis and George; his siblings, Margaret Norrie McCain and Roderick Norrie (Eleanor); his children, Jeffrey, Susan (Gary Kaplan), Andrew (Laura) and James; and his grandchildren, Kelsey Kaplan, Madison Kaplan, Jarrett Norrie, Shawn Norrie, Lindsay Norrie, Hunter Norrie and Blake Norrie. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
