He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Stewart and Violet Stewart (Ripley); his siblings, Laurie Stewart (Greta), Russell Stewart (Chris) and Margaret Grant (Kelly); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Stewart, John Stordy and Glen Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Stewart (Wayne Gifford), Robert Stewart (Amy Sangster) and Jamie (Kristina); his grandchildren, Matthew Brewer (Rose Sherwood), Samuel Brewer (Francine Mitrakos), Thomas Brewer, Hayleigh Stewart and Ben Stewart; and his siblings, Ruthven Stewart, Mary Stordy, Ann Smith and Elizabeth Dunphy.
