It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine Mildred Read of Truro, Nova Scotia, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 7, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Judson Hartlin and Effie Hartlin (Higgins); her husband Garnet; and her brothers, Roy, Ralph and Ira.

She is survived by: her sons, Jonathan (Gay), Jamie and Jay; her stepchildren, Smith, Mary and Phil; her siblings, Ivy, Joyce and Lewis; her daughters-in-law, Roberta and Paula; and her sisters-in-law, Reta and Carol Hartlin. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
