He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Higgins and Annie Higgins (Hyson); his common-law partner Paulette Miller; and his sister Dorothy MacDonald (Bob). He is survived by: his children, Michael Higgins and Patricia Verkuijl (Marcelis); and his grandchildren, Megan Paradis, Spryfield, Michaela Copage, Masstown and Cameron Copage. He is also survived by six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
