She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Works and Susanna "Sadie" Works (Mahoney); her husband Elmer; and her siblings, James, Percy, Fred, Howard, Mary, Josie, Gladys and Dorothy.

She is survived by: her daughters, Karen O'Toole (Hollis) and Sheila Dale (Jack); her grandchildren, Matthew O'Toole (Amy), Patrick O'Toole (Roxanne Church), Nick Dale (Pamela), Jaclyn Dale (Kevin) and Nathan Dale (Leann); her great grandchildren, Sophie O'Toole, Isaiah Church and Daniel Dale; her sister Doris McDaniel; and her friends, Edith, Dr. Trevor Locke, Dr. Adam Aleksis and Vimy Court.
