He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas MacLaren and Irma MacLaren (Wood); his son Jamie; his sisters, Anna Hill (Art) and Doris Jenkins (Wallace); his sisters-in-law, Joan MacLaren and Joan Crouse; and his nephew Ken Jenkins.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth (Crouse); his children, Katherine and Donald; his granddaughter Hannah Kitney; his brothers, Ed MacLaren (Irene) and Stewart MacLaren (Joan); and his brother-in-law Don Crouse (Jean). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Here he expanded the New to You shop and established Colchester Community Workshops Foundation.
