She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur West and Katherine; her husband Charles; her siblings, Mary Brown, Doris Hosh, Irene Mosher and Maurice West; her stepfather Mac Purdy; and her stepsister June Houghton.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Dotty McLeod, Maxine Richard (Dan), Cheryl Clark, Gail Giles, Daria West Thompson (Larry), James Mosher (Brenda), Eric Mosher (Diane), John Hosh and Ed Hosh (Ardys); her daughter Lily Plant (Marc); her grandsons, Sebastian, Francis and Patrice; her great grandchild Noah; her great-niece Teresa McNutt (Mike); and her great-nephews, Greg Richard (EJ) and Aaron Richard (HeJung). She is also survived by children who Alma thought of as her grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, interment will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
