She was predeceased by: her parents, James Purvis and Margaret Purvis (Bartlett); her siblings, James "Sonny" Purvis, David Purvis (Linda), Lawrence Purvis (Audrey), Margaret "Peggy" Mosher (Grant), Jenny Martin (Bob) and Anna; and her brothers-in-law, Joe Jewula and John O'Connell.

She is survived by: her husband Dean Cavanaugh; her children, Peter Purvis (Anne), Patti Purvis and Deana Cavanaugh (Jeff Clements); her granddaughter Kathleen Corbett (Scott Walker); her child Kristyn Corbett; her siblings, Shirley Jewula, Brenda O'Connell and Audrey Ross (John); and her brother-in-law Grant Mosher (Alberta). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
