He was predeceased by: his wife Edna; his sons, George Martin and Robert Martin (Tana); his son-in-law John Martell; his grandson Jeffrey Martin; his parents, Catherine and Henry; and his siblings, George and Iris (Jack).

He is survived by: his children, Patsy Martell, Ross Martin (Susan) of Trenton, Jimmy Martin (Terry) of Trenton, Jack Martin (Brenda) of Truro and Donnie Murray (Helen). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
