She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert M. Stairs and Vera MacDonald Stairs; her husband Donald S. MacNeil; and her sister Mary Robinson. She is survived by: her sons, David and Graham (Carolyn); and her grandchildren, Nicole Collings (Bruce) and Steven (Maggie). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
