He is survived by: his pet Jock; his wife Alice "Allie" (Paton); his daughter Kathy Thompson (Daniel); his grandchildren, Kieran and Eva; his daughter Kim LeLacheur (Mike Chapman); his grandchildren, Brody, Mason, Kamryn and Churchville; his son James (Janet Rector); his grandchild Kelzie (Josh); his great grandchild Oliver; his granddaughter Kristin; his great grandchild Freya; his grandchildren, Daniel, Payton, James Roy, Trenton and Brad (Krista); his great grandchildren, Ewen and Gwen; his grandson Josh (Chrissy); his great grandchildren, Ella, Ben, Alice, Grande Prairie, Alta and Robert Cameron; and his sister Dorothy Lange (Robert).
Donations may be made in Roy's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
