He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dan and Ermina MacLean (Humphreys); and his siblings, Donald, Jackie and Margaret Jean.

He is survived by: his wife Mary B. (Barko); his daughters, Cheryl Feltmate (Tony), Andrea Bright (Robert), Mary McGill (Bob) and Janice MacLean (Glen); his grandchildren, Amanda, Barbara, Jason, Victoria, Erin, Andrew, Nicholas, Samantha, Mathew, Mandy and Jessie; his great grandchildren, Aidyn, Grayson, Blake, Dylan, Paisley, Lakely and Brynlee; his sister Shirley Spivak; and his sister-in-law Carol MacLean. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Pictou County SPCA or a charity of choice.
