It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene Smith (Trenton, Nova Scotia), born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Elizabeth and Frederick Joseph Hughes of New Glasgow; her husband Robert Wayne "Bob" Smith; and her sister Carol Davidson. She is survived by: her siblings, Frederick Hughes (Mary), Margaret Cody (Steve) and David Hughes; her children, Christina (James), Leslie (Kevin), Robert, Chad (Darcy) and Jason (Shelly); her grandchildren, Allison (Justin), Samantha (Derek), Matthew (Ashley), Kelilah, Alexandra, Kolbie, Logan, Sierrah and Kali; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Brianna, Sadie, Liam, Nash and Tess. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
