It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter O'Brien (Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia), born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on June 17, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Percy O'Brien; his wife Lillian; his stepchildren, Bonita and Omen; and his brothers, Hector, George, Bob and Paddy.

He is survived by: his parent Olive O'Brien (Davis); his children, Robert (Thelma), James, Valarie, Norma, Francis (Wanda), Andrew (Steve) and Shane (Deborah); his stepchildren, Elizabeth "Betty" and Howard; and his siblings, Andrew and Dee. He is also survived by one grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
