It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Edwin Plestid (Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia), who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Henry Plestid and Mary Deina Plestid (Arsenault); and his siblings, Veronica Finnin (Plestid), Leonard, Henry, Frank, Ernie and Earle Plestid.

He is survived by: his sister Lauretta Burley (Plestid); his wife Doris; his son Lynn (Sharleen Gibson); his grandchildren, Ashley Belhumeur (Marc Belhumeur) and Curtis Plestid (Patricia Brunelle); his great grandchildren, Joseph, Claire and Aspen; his granddaughter Sarah Plestid (Derek Verhulst); his great grandchild River; his daughter Debra Plestid (David Baxter); his granddaughter Katie Plestid (James Grady); his great grandchildren, Bridget and Keller; his granddaughter Maggie Plestid (Justin Dubroy-Clement); his son Trevor Plestid; his grandchildren, Sophie Ideias and Sam Henry Plestid; his stepgranddaughter Sofia; and his in-laws, Irene, Marcel Lepage, Danny and Lise Doonan of Rigaud. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and of couse many many friends.
