He was predeceased by: his sisters, Margaret Watt and Mildred Hiltz. He is survived by: his significant other Emma MacKenzie; his children, Michael (Bev), Ian and Donna Leadbetter; his great grandchild Hayden MacKenzie; his sister Connie; his son David Reid; his brother Gordon (Roline); and also, Trevor MacKenzie (Ashley), Ben MacKenzie and Amber MacKenzie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
