It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John MacLeod (Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia), born in River John, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 14, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney MacLeod and Ruth MacLeod (Chisholm); his wife Audrey; and his siblings-in-law, David MacConnell, Millsville, Mancel Gollan, Willis Langille, Seafoam, Margie MacLeod and Edna Day (Hap).

He is survived by: his children, Gayle Heighton (George), Carol Anne McKay (John) and River John; his grandchildren, Sheri Heighton (Terry Lemoine), Ardoise, Abbie Heighton (Bert MacDonald), Cape John, John Heighton (Carlin Hart), Matthew MacDonald, Emily Martin (Zac) and Trenton; his great grandchild Alice; his siblings, Robert (Lynn) of River John, Lynda Ellis (Brian), Geoffrey (Eileen), Melissa MacConnell, Millsville and Elizabeth (Ed MacLellan); his siblings-in-law, Verna Chesney (Gord), Woodstock, Ont, Jeannie Langille, Mary McGinnis (Glenn), Phoenix, Ariz and Rollie Gollan (Shirley); and his brothers, Jim Craig (Nancy) of River John and Gerald Sutherland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

A private funeral service will be held Saturday, March 20, at Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche for family and friends by invitation only due to COVID restrictions.
