He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd S. Tattrie and Margaret Tattrie (Patriquin); and his wife Judith Marie (Wilson). He is survived by: his sons, Wayne (Melissa) and Evan (Tracey); his grandchildren, Valentina (Nate), Atanda (Jeff), Kerri, Ann and Brooklyn; his stepgrandchildren, Josh, Stevie and Cass; his great grandchildren, Braxton and Bryson; and his sister Bernice Elliott (Kib). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donations in Dennis' memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 64, Tatamagouche or to the Miner's Cemetery.
