He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola MacBurnie and Bert Patriquin; his sister Flora; his brother-in-law Karl Wall; his sister Jean; his brother-in-law Leith Mingo; and his brother John.

He is survived by: his siblings, Sadie Tattrie (Hector), Marlene MacBurnie, Sandee Park (Brian), Alberta and Chris MacBurnie (Debbie Farrell); his nieces and nephews, Janet Wall, Melissa Underwood (Robin), Blake Wall (Tammie), Leanne Mingo, Glen Tattrie, Charlene Tattrie, Jonathan MacBurnie (Lynn Sullivan), Crystal MacKenzie (Eli Rankin) and Rachel MacBurnie; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alex Underwood (Cedric Denis), Delani Underwood, Emmitt Wall, Keean Wall, Grace Reynolds, Dylan Smith (Lacey), Sebastian MacBurnie, Felicity MacBurnie and Kayden MacBurnie; and also, Nora Denis and Terry MacBurnie. He is also survived by Many aunts, uncles and cousins.
