He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Harpell and Margaret Harpell (Kaiser); his former wife Margaret Harpell (MacKay); his wife Laura Harpell (Marsden); and his siblings, Inez Jordan (Robinson), Faye Harpell, Jean Hill and Wallace Harpell.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Harpell (Millie) and Debbie Spencer (Edgar); his stepchildren, Ken Marsden (Rosie), Eric Marsden, Ireen DeJeet (late Milty), Sydney and Diane Boutilier (Clifford); his grandchildren, Jody Harpell (Carmie Zahara), Sydney, Tracy Comeau (Ian), Rodney Spencer (Nicole) and Shannon Spencer (Mark Gouthro); his great grandchildren, Madeline, Mia, Mylene, Max, Ana Harpell, Jack, Claudia and Reese Comeau; his stepgreat-grandson Calum McPhee; and his sisters, Minnie Kaiser (Harvey) and Audrey Budge (Bill). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
