She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Flynn and Mary Flynn (MacNeil); her sisters, Cecelia Ferris (Johnny) and Lillian Flynn; her son-in-law Eric Sheppard; and her grandson Bruce Barrington.

She is survived by: her husband Robert W. Barrington; her children, Lorna Hallahan (Cletus), Anita Harris (Dan), Linda, Elaine and Keith (Carol Lee); her grandchildren, David M. Barrington, Cathelene Hallahan, Mary Hallahan, Amanda Hallahan, JoAnn Hallahan, Michelle Harris (Tommy), Daniel Harris, Mark Barrington, Brian Barrington (Melissa) and Holly Barrington; and her great grandchildren, Keegan, Kameron, Anna, Emma Barrington, Lauren Hemmings, Caoimhe and Connor Flood.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the All Faith Chapel (1092 Victoria Rd, Sydney, NS B1N1L1). A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Donations in memory of Thelma may be made to a charity of one's choice.
