With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Simon MacKinnon (Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on February 19, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael "Mickey" MacKinnon and Margaret MacKinnon (Gillis); and his brothers, Leo and Hughie. He is survived by: his wife Jackie MacKinnon (Swartzack); his children, Greg (Natalie), Susan (Brad) and Tracey (Donald); his granddaughters, Emily Whyte (MacKinnon), Jenna MacKinnon, Breanna Maxwell (MacLean), Kaylee, Myra, Cassidy MacLean, Jadyn and Taylor Hanson; his great grandchildren, Archie, Harriet Whyte, Benjamin Dalrymple and Emerson Maxwell; and his siblings, John (Bin), Russell (Lucy), Michael (Patricia), Rannie (Marla) and Ann Rogers (Charlie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
