Shirley Gaede Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Gaede (Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on March 3, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elroy Stewart and Iris Stewart (Reid); and her niece Roxanna. She is survived by: her husband David Gaede; her children, Ted, Westmount, Amber and Samantha (Neil Gascoyne); her grandchildren, Ryan (Emily), Jacob, Owen, Aiden, Lucas, David, Daniel, Caelin, Nathaniel, Maelle and Theodore; and her siblings, Heather, Barry (Margie), Elroy (Mary), Donnie (Paula) and Lee (Susan). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley's memory may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation or our Autism NS Cape Breton Region Chapter in honour of her special grandson 'Nate the Great' with whom she shared a beautiful bond.
