She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert MacDonald and Mae MacDonald (Libby); her husband Danny MacFadyen; her daughter Shauna MacFadyen; and her brother Ronnie MacDonald (Mary-Lou).
She is survived by: her sons, Randy MacFadyen, Joel MacFadyen and Sydney; her grandchildren, Ty, Lauryn, Maela and Brayden; her great grandchildren, Kaysa and Zayla; her sister Lois Lewis (Adam); and her friend Keith MacDonald.
Donations in memory of Ruth's daughter, Shauna may be made to the Cancer Society.
