Russell LeBlanc Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell LeBlanc (Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 26, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene LeBlanc and Sarah LeBlanc (Kennedy); and his siblings, Marie, Doris, Jim and Lionel.
He is survived by: his wife Donna (Weeks); his children, Johnnine Routledge (Paul), Tanglewood, Sandra Gates (Otto), Nancy LeBlanc-Arsenault (Glenn Arsenault), Sydney and Bryan LeBlanc (Shirley MacDonald); his grandchildren, Chantal, Stephen, Justin and Dillon; his great grandchildren, Carley and Claire; and his brothers, Eugene, Dennis (Marney), David (Sookie) and Sydney. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service can be viewed on Facebook Live by visiting the Sydney Memorial Chapel Facebook page at 1 p. m. Visitation and reception to follow at St. Theresa's Parish Hall 2:30-4:30 p. m. Covid-19 protocols will be followed.
In Russell's honour, the family also encourages blood donations as blood transfusions were so important to Dad's treatment of his disease, Myelodysplastic Syndrome.
