He was predeceased by: his parents, Gervase Carroll and Mary Carroll (MacIsaac) of Hardwood Hill; and his brothers, John, David, Dr. Ray, Leo and Brian.
He is survived by: his siblings, Elaine, Mary (Mike Parago), Sydney, Basil (Raylene), Sydney, Frank (Barbara), Wellington and Brent (Monica); his aunt Marie Rizzo of Waltham, MA; and his sisters-in-law, Violet of Kitchener, ON and Carole. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donations in memory of Russell may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.
