It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ronald James Lorway (Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on February 9, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lorway and Charlotte Lorway (Spears); his daughter Dana Lorway Fraser (Trevor); his sisters, Joan, Carmel Chase and Jane LaRusic; and his stepmother Etta Lorway.
He is survived by: his child Wish Foundation; his brother-in-law Sid; his wife Shirley (Fifield); his children, Charlotte MacDonald (Shawn) and Darren Lorway; his grandchildren, Shara, Ashley, Kelsey and Moira; his great grandchildren, Avery, Lily and Bella; and his sister Margaret Ann Lorway.
Thank you to Dr. Greg Myatt and Janice Black, Dr. Kelly Wiggins and staff at the Geriatric Clinic, Dr. Abboud, as well as the nurses and staff of 3B who did their best to make Ron comfortableDue to Covid-19 restrictions, a funeral service for family will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 2 p. m. with Lieutenants Dion and Jenelle Durdle officiating.
