She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Tom Roach and Peggy; her siblings, Tom, Jr., Elma (Sydney), Mary (Sydney) and Betty; her husband John C. Campbell; her former husband John Bryden MacDonald; her grandchildren, Andrew, Bronwyn, Bryden, Callum, Catherine, Ciaran, Colin, Heather, Jenny, Jessie, John, Katelyn, Kathleen, Lee, Liam, Maria, Moriah, Maeve, Meghan, Nora and Sarah; her daughter Marie; and also, Bryden, Jr. (Halifax), Marilyn, Maureen (Sydney), Allan, Lorne, Colin, Peter, Paul (Toronto), Clare (Gordie), Ian, Anna, Charlotte, Emma, Lauren, Lily and Madelyn.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the All Faith Chapel (1092 Victoria Rd, Sydney, NS B1N1L1). A reception was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (2643 Kings Rd, Sydney Forks, NS B1L1A1). A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Marie's children ask that in lieu of flowers, a gift be made to the An Cala Palliative Care Unit at Cape Breton Regional Hospital in honour of their compassionate end-of-life care.
