She was predeceased by: her father John Peter; her husband Edward Brookman; and her siblings, Grace, Margaret "Sis", Bernice, Ann, Jean, Kay, Mildred, Francis, Steve, Roy and Fred.

She is survived by: her mother Ida Mae Young (Allen); her children, Beatrice (Roland), Eddie, Paul (Sharon), Loretta (late Barry Maclean), Susan (Fred) and Mark; her sister Maude (Bill Broussard); her grandchildren, Michael Spurvey (Julie), Bruce Barrett (Jamie), Karl Barrett (Jessica), Scott Brookman (Leah), Nicole Brookman (Jordan), Cory Brookman (Abby), Ashley Brookman and Karen Brookman; her great grandchildren, Jayden, Isla, Wyatt, Hunter, Mason, Karlie, Finnley and Parker; her niece Darlene Broussard; her pet Jake; and also, Gordy, Jackie and Alberta Young. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mom.
