Phoebe Doreen Porter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phoebe Doreen Porter (Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phoebe Doreen Porter to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Butler and Sadie Butler (Bradbury); her husband Edward Porter; her son Robert "Bob" Porter; her great grandchild Jenna; and her siblings, Clarence, Irene Cottiers, Sadie Ells, Dorothy Manuge, Olive Sheppard and Elizabeth "Fanny" Musgrave.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie (Margie Babineau), Albert Bridge, Kevin (Patricia) of Smith's Falls, ON, Brenda Patrick, Sydney, Janice Porter (Georgie) of Seafoam, NS and Shauna LeBlanc (Kevin); her daughter-in-law Denise Porter (Sydney); and her sister Alice Rideout (Frank) of Oakville, ON. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Salvation Army Sydney Community Church (55 Inglis St, Sydney, NS B1P1W6). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Palliative Care, the VON, or The Salvation Army Sydney Community Church.
